the journey to yankee territory.

all the way from sunny chicago. through a series of delayed flights and missed connections. after a night of two hours of rest. i finally made it to overcast southampton. 

ruth and i took a chilly ferry to new boston. where we are staying the night at her sister house. good stories of the place being haunted. items moving without explanation, toilets flushing in empty bathrooms, and things being found where they weren't left.

new chalk work and killer mike.

i do chalk work at Dusek's and Punch House in Pilsen in addition to hostessing duties. 

i love it! and it would be a dream to be able to make a career of it. or just graphic design in general. 

so we had two big beer parties last night. one for Revolution Brewery and one for Goose Island. 

Revolution had a seasonal release for their rosa beer. a damn good beer. it's steeped with hibiscus flowers so it has this pretty pink color to it. tart, an easy drink, and absolutely perfect for summer (if it ever come to Chicago).

then Goose Island came after a hip hop show at Lacuna Artist Lofts with a fun bunch of folks. 

Killer Mike showed up. 

he like my haircut which i've been pretty skeptical about since i chopped it off. nice guy.

sister markings

my lovely little sister came to visit me a couple of weeks ago.

 it was a blast! lots of shopping, dressing up, coffee, food and the highlight? we spent her friday afternoon at studio one in pilsen, getting tattoos. what an amazing place! it's where i've gotten all of my other pieces. the place is classy and clean. 

the two guys who run it are to the most friendly and experienced artists. 

the crown design contains the letter from both our first names. 'anna michal' and 'lindy'. it took me about an hour to come up with a design that i was proud of. in addition to the initials it is also a crown. lindy and i are self-proclaimed princesses.
