Millenium Park Concert

went to Millenium Park last night with my brother, my sister, and friend.
Eastern University's choir and orchestra played a glorious concert for us. blankets strewn across the lawn with people laying and listening. it was pretty magical.
we munched on guacamole, chips, crackers, veggies, olive dip, and vegan pizza.
all of which i ate way too much.

Holi Colors

on March 11th, 2012 people in India celebrated Holi (the Festival of Colors).
this is a holiday that celebrates the coming of Spring, and of the triumph of good over evil.
once a year people chase each other in the streets of India,
and playfully splash each other with colorful paint pigments and dyes.
too bad that i am a two months too late.
this is now on my bucket list.

Vesticle Vestage.

In the neighborhood of Chicago that i live in, there is a thrift store calles 'Unique'.
Every Monday they have a sale where everything in the store is half off.

EVERYTHING!

So, there I was, looking through handbags when i came across this bolt of fabric for one buck.
(50¢ because it was a Monday). I grabbed it.
last night a wave of inspiration came over me and I fashioned this vest.
I used a t-shirt i had to measure a proper distance between each shoulder. It's otherwise freehand.
